In 2008 Bejing hosted the summer Olympics and built their Bird’s Nest Stadium as the focal point of the event. Few understood the design at the time. Why model a stadium on a bird’s nest? Multiple world records were broken at this event, the athletes commenting on how comfortable they felt in the enviornment. The nest is where we naturally gravitate to in times of need, times when support is paramount. The stadium gave this energy to the competitors. Todays energy is just the same, offering the support of the mother who listens, understands, does not judge and encourages. Who could ask for more?
